About
Erica Arcudi is a classically trained oil painter whose pieces are shaped by the beauty and artistic traditions of Florence, Italy, where she studied and worked for nearly a decade. Her paintings are rooted in the atelier tradition of the Florence Academy of Art, where drawing and painting from life and careful observation form the foundation of the artist’s practice. After graduating from the Academy in 2017, she was invited to join the faculty and currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Master of Arts in Studio Art program.
Arcudi’s paintings have been juried into exhibitions in the U.S. and internationally, including the Salmagundi Club, NC Artists Exhibition, and the Oil Painters of America. She has also been recognized by the Art Renewal Center’s International Salon Competition with awards in Still Life, Plein Air, and Fully From Life categories. Drawing thousands of entries from around the world, the ARC Salon is widely regarded as an important benchmark for collectors of representational art. In the 18th International ARC Salon, Arcudi received two awards, including the Fashion Week San Diego Award for Harbingers. The painting was selected for the ARC 17th/18th Salon Exhibition at Sotheby’s, New York, where it will be presented alongside a couture garment inspired by the painting.
Arcudi’s paintings are held in private collections throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia. She aspires to create timeless works that capture the spirit of her subjects.
